Hvordan ivareta sin menneskelighet i umenneskelige tider?

På 1950-tallet spilte Norge en avgjørende rolle for at Israel ble en atommakt,gjennom å selge den nye okkupasjonsstaten tungtvann og atomteknologi. Siden den gang har norsk våpenindustri fortsatt å bidra til den israelske hærens blodige maktutøvelse, med våpen som rakettkasterne M72 og M141 produsert av NAMMO TALLY. I begynnelsen av mars 2025 ble det bevist at M141 hadde blitt brukt av Israel i det pågående folkemordet i Palestina.

Helt fra fødselen av har atombomben vært en brikke i spillet "Terrorbalanse" mellom supermakter, og for staten Israel har Bomben en formgivende posisjonfor nasjonens identitet.

Nylig foreslo Frankrike å slå opp en "atomparaply" over Europa; det ser ut til at Bomben nok en gang finner sin plass i sentrum av storpolitikken ommenneskehetens eksistensgrunnlag ...

To kunstnere, Einat og Vibeke, prøver å komme under huden påmeningsløsheten i det de opplever som en av menneskehetens mørkeste tider. Fra hver sin by og kontekst dykker de ned i tungt vann i et forsøk på å skape rom for samhold og motstand – og med håp om å finne en kur for vår splintrede tidsånd.

How to remain human in inhuman times?

In the 1950s, Norway played a crucial part in making Israel a nuclear power by providing the young occupant with heavy water and nuclear technology. Since then, the Norwegian arms industry has continued to facilitate the Israeli armysdestruction, with weapons such as the rocket launchers M72 and M141 produced by NAMMO TALLY. In the beginning of March 2025, it was proven that M141s had been used by Israel in the ongoing genocide in Palestine.

Since its birth, The Atomic Bomb has been a piece in the game of "Balance of Terror" between superpowers, and for the State of Israel, The Bomb has a formative position for the nation's identity.

Recently, France proposed setting up a "nuclear umbrella" over Europe; it seems that The Bomb is once again finding its place at the center of the grand politics of humanity's existence ...

Two artists, Einat and Vibeke, try to make sense of the senselessness of what they experience as one of humanity's darkest times. From their different citiesand contexts, they dive into heavy water in an attempt to create a space for togetherness, justice and resistance - with the hope of finding a cure for our shattered Zeitgeist.
